This is trash. It is ideology looking for support. Whichever audience this trash is for, they better get the entertainment they sought. Every Civilization will always transition into a new civilization because that is the law of nature. A living thing stay living by transitioning. To live forever, the transitioning life must successfully transition before it dies.
27:20 now this is what people need to hear. I hear too many people that are either centrists or even progressive people having this idea that things will be better in the future and that we shouldn’t be fighting for a better future now because it is a waste of our time now. If we hadn’t fought so much before, we wouldn’t had improved to where we are now. If we don’t fight now, things won’t get better and could “go back” to even worse than we can imagine. Not to bring in a Holocaust comparison in on a totally different topic, but I think it applies perfectly to show others how untrue the lie that the future is always better is. Germany was considered pretty progressive for its time (definitely not compared to right now) before their economy crumbled and we all know how downhill things went. Time didn’t simply make them more progressive. What determined how progressive they were had a lot more to do with pretty much every other factor but time. They became “less progressive” than anyone a couple decades early could even imagine. We must keep at least attempting to make things better because we could not “progress naturally” as a society and even “regress”.
